Cancellation policy:All of the donations collected at these shows currently go directly to the artist. Cash donation at the door is our preferred method of taking care of the money. However, we have to guarantee a minimum to make the engagement worth the artist's time and energy. Space in the living room is limited, and we need to try to fill every seat to make the whole production cost-effective for everyone (you get a lower price if we can plan on 30 people instead of just 20).If you cancel with less than 72 hours notice, you are responsible for finding a replacement or sending a check via mail for the suggested donation.
Failure to either fill your seat with a donating friend or to offer a compensatory donation will result in the loss of your invitation to attend future house concerts.
This policy is required as the alternative is for is to dig into our pockets to pay for the missing audience members -- which would quickly bring an end to the house concert series. In this way, our house concert experience is like purchasing a ticket for a concert elsewhere. If you are unable to attend the concert, the venue doesn't give you a refund.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with this policy.
