Chocolate Web Crunch
1 (12-oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter,creamy
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3 cups Rice Crispies cereal

Melt chocolate chips and 3/4 cup of the peanut butter in small, saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth; remove from heat. Before it can cool, stir in sugar and continue to stir until smooth.

In a large bowl, place the Rice Crispies cereal. Add 1 cup of the melted chocolate mixture; stir until well coated. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Using small metal spatula, shape into a circle (approximately 9-10" diameter) with slightly raised 1/2 to an inch-wide border. Pour the rest of the chocolate mixture in center of the circle; spread it out uniformly to the inside edge of the border.

To create the spider web effect:

Put 1/4 cup of peanut butter in a pasty tube with small gauge tip. (If you don't have a pastry tube, use small, heavy-duty plastic bag and cut a tiny corner from bag after adding the peanut butter). Pipe at 3 - 5 concentric circles on top of chocolate. Pull the tip of a very sharp knife through peanut butter from the center to border so that you have a minimum of 12 radiating lines from the center.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until firm. Cut into thin wedges.

Makes 16 servings.
